About the Event

The award-winning UK-based writer Maggie Harris has recently published a new collection of poems, I Sing to the Greenhearts (17 Feb 2025). This is a collection that evokes memory, reassures and ties time and place together even as migration disturbs and upsets challenges. In I Sing to the Greenhearts the wild nourishes and is juxtaposed against a world where ecological crisis and justice are at stake.

Sharon Correia currently lives in the Cayman Islands and is the author of the recently published: Kimbia, Village of the Runaways (26 Dec 2024). Correia’s book explores the evolution of the Indigenous Berbice River village communities of Kimbia (and its surrounds) through interwoven cross-generational stories which span the arrival of the first Europeans to the vibrant societies of the modern-day.

Guyana-based, Cosmata Lindie is a visual artist of Indigenous heritage and was one of five Caribbean writers shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize…
