Updated: Mar 9

The Guyana United Kingdom Social Development Association (GUSDA) has donated £2000 to First Lady Mrs. Sandra Granger to support her programs aimed at empowering women and girls in Guyana. The presentation ceremony was held at the Guyana High Commission in London, coinciding with the First Lady's visit for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

The donation will aid various projects, including STEM Guyana, teenage mother education programs, and workshops on child and elderly care and entrepreneurship. GUSDA’s Chair, Orin Alexander, praised the First Lady's dedication to empowering vulnerable citizens and highlighted the association’s commitment to supporting these initiatives [2018].
